DESPISED ICON Prepare To Hit The Road With SUFFOCATION And CRYPTOPSY

September 26, 2005

The Montreal-based deathcore six-piece DESPISED ICON will embark on a massive North American tour this week alongside SUFFOCATION, CRYPTOPSY and ABORTED in support of "The Healing Process", their highly-acclaimed new album. The group’s explosive live performances on their first national U.S. tour alongside DEICIDE, IMMOLATION, SKINLESS and WITH PASSION earlier this year caught the entire metal community's attention, and they look to further establish their position as one of the genre's most devastating new acts with this upcoming run. DESPISED ICON recently shot a video for the track "The Sunset Will Never Charm Us" with acclaimed director Jean-Philippe Bernier (A PERFECT MURDER). Look for it to make its network debut late next month.

Alex Erian (vocals) checks in with the following report: "SUFFOCATION got most of us into death metal. I remember being so pissed off when I missed what was to be their 'last show' in Montreal a few years back because I was underage. We are all honored and stoked as hell to be given the chance to tour North America with those dudes and the almighty CRYPTOPSY and ABORTED. DECAPITATED and CATTLE DECAPITATION are also joining the fun on a few select dates. Those are some of our favorite bands, and it doesn't get any better then this. We are excited to tour the U.S. once again and look forward to seeing everyone we had the pleasure of meeting last time around. See you guys on the road."

DESPISED ICON's renowned sophomore release, "The Healing Process", was produced by guitarist Yannick St-Amand (ION DISSONANCE, NEURAXIS),mixed by J-F Dagenais (MISERY INDEX, KATAKLYSM) and mastered by Alan Douches (SHADOWS FALL, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN).
